Condensed matter physics is a fast developing area of modern physics which is undoubtedly connected with potential application of results obtained. Applicative developments are based on fundamental research which has recently advanced considerably. There are a number of lines of research: from “classic” crystal structures to low-dimensional nanoheterostructures, quantum liquids, polymer systems, including biopolymers.
To discuss the above issues, the Faculty of Physics and MSU Nanotechnology Education and Research Center will hold a scientific seminar on condensed matter physics on a regular basis. It will include talks of leading Russian and foreign scientists.
To increase the number of seminar participants there is a live broadcast.
